Muttering a stream of curses, Kyle stalked towards Leland’s corner office, one of the perks that came with being head of the department. Ignoring the secretary in the outer office, Kyle opened the door to Leland’s inner sanctum, only to find it empty.

“Where is he?” he asked the gaping woman. “I know he’s still here.”

“He’s meeting with the hospital administrator, but I don’t know when he’ll be back.”

“I’ll wait.” Kyle closed the door in the woman’s face. Un-fucking-believable. Leland had convinced him to leave his family and friends in Baltimore to build a future together in Philadelphia. Then once they got here, Leland had turned into a control freak, bossing Kyle around and treating him as nothing more than a decorative ornament. The final blow, however, had been the cheating.

Only a few months ago, in this very office, Kyle had found Leland bent over his desk, with his pants down around his ankles, with one of the residents he mentored pumping fast and furiously into him.
